This blog started out as an assignment during my Executive MBA program. What I learned while blogging, which was a surprise to me at the time, was that I enjoyed keeping active in national conversations on topics relative to healthcare. So, from time to time, I still may blog on certain topics.
During my career, I have gained extensive operations management experience in both private, public and nonprofit sectors. I had the distinct privilege of earning a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada-Reno.
I currently serve as Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Practice Organization (CPO) at UC San Diego Health. The Clinical Practice Organization represents the physician services responsible for the clinical mission of UC San Diego Medical School, in addition to, the other important missions – education and research. UC San Diego Health is the only Academic Health System in San Diego and has been ranked #1 in quality for six straight years in San Diego.
Note: The views expressed do not represent my employer, UC San Diego Health. As I mentioned, this blog was started as an assignment for my Executive MBA program at the University of Nevada-Reno. I enjoyed doing it so decided to continue blogging from time to time.
